She was predeceased by: her husband Elvin; her siblings, Violet Kasten (Elmer), David Schlack (Judy) and Georgiana Hewitt; and her daughter Desiree Nelson.

She is survived by: her brother-in-law Bill Hewitt; her son-in-law Bill Nelson; her granddaughter Amy (Chris Toonstra); and her great grandchildren, Desiree and Arden Toonstra.
