She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Carlsen and Lily Carlsen (Schmidt); and her husband Cletus Marks. She is survived by: her children, Diane Manwarren (Ernie) of Emmetsburg, IA, Doug Marks (Darlene) of Wasilla, AK, Dawn Lacher (Fred) of Fort Mill, SC, Denise Marks of Bloomington, MN, David Marks (Colleen) of Ostrander, MN and Dale Marks (Michelle) of Clay Center, KS. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a brother and 3 sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Shirley Marks Family.
