It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marlys Scheevel (Spring Valley, Minnesota), born in Fremont, Iowa, who passed away on December 14, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Jacobson and Selma Jacobson; her husband Alton Scheevel; and her siblings, Stella Larsen, Wilda Middlebrook and Burdette Jacobson.
She is survived by: her children, Lynn Scheevel (Barb) of Preston, MN, Gary L. Scheevel (Pat Berg) of Florenceville, IA, Marlin Scheevel of Preston, MN and Debra Thompson (Mike) of Sparta, WI; her sisters, Shirley Timmerman of Harmony, MN and Norma Nelsen; and her sister-in-law Emily Morgan of Harmony, MN.. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the family will not be present at the public visitation. Masks are required and social distancing will be enforced.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Greenleafton Reformed Church at 15502 Co Hwy 9, Preston, MN 55965; or to the Hindt Funeral Home at 316 N Broadway, Spring Valley, MN, 55975.
