He was predeceased by: his parents, Elgar Speer and Agnes Speer (Larson); his wife Mayvis Hanna; his siblings, Ruth and Victor; and his sister-in-law Kathy.
He is survived by: his son Kevin Speer (Becky) of LeRoy; his grandchildren, Jaxon Speer, Allen Brown and Amelia Speer; his brothers, Virgil Speer (Mary) of LeRoy and Dale Speer of Elgin, MN; and his brother-in-law Roy Lidtke of Lime Springs, IA..
