He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlow Kruegel and Mildred Kruegel (Baker); his wife Rosalie Cooper; his son Les; his daughter-in-law Marie Kruegel; and his brother Myron.
He is survived by: his children, Glenda Knode (Steve), Julane Gehrking (Mike) of Spring Valley, Richard of Preston and Robert of Edina; his grandchildren, William Kruegel (Ivy Tesmer) of Preston, Shaun Knode (Sheila), Scott Knode (Katey) of Spring Valley, Jessica Vasser (Ryan) of New Richmond, WI, Amy Gehrking, Marly Gehrking (Mitchell Dempewolf) of Spring Valley, Darian Kruegel of Rochester and Lucas Kruegel of Edina; and his great grandchildren, Cole, Bennett, Hadley, Charli, Laney, Karsynn, Hudson, Ava and Dustin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
