He was predeceased by: his parents, James Casey and Flora Casey; his brothers, Bill and Mike Casey; and his nephews, Billy Ray Casey and Bob Santore.
He is survived by: his wife Connie (Kelly); his children, Bridget Sheffert (late David) of Park Ridge, John Casey (Aneta) of Kildeer, Tom Casey (Marjorie) of Walnut Creek and Ed Casey (Nora) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Ian, Clare, Mary Frances, Kathleen Sheffert, Brenna, John Jr., Lauren Casey, Emma, Robert, Morgan Casey, Edward Jr., Stephen, Joseph and Allison Casey; his uncle Edward Casey of Cedar Rapids; his siblings, Larry (Susan) of Crystal Lake, Blair (Sheila) of Santa Rosa, California, Mary Lou Santore of Seymour and Bonnie Vasquez (Ben) of Swisher, Iowa; and his sisters-in-law, Sherry Casey of Cedar Rapids and Christine Casey of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
