He was predeceased by: his wife Audrey; his grandson Michael; and his siblings, Alice Neuman, Elmer and Walter "Pug" Gareis.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Gareis (Dave Somers), Theresa Tradewell (Mark), Dan Gareis (Lisa), Sheri Brewster (Nick Johnson) and Richard Gareis (Robin). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
