Donald J Smith wrote a sympathy message

“Our thoughts and prayers are with your family as you cope with your loss. I did not know Jay that well. I spent time talking with his brothers and sisters of the IBEW that he was working with at the refinery. They said they enjoyed working with Jay and he was a good electrician. A loss to one is a loss to us all in the International brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was part of our family and will not be forgotten. With deepest sympathy, Don Smith BM IBEW Local 242”
