He was predeceased by: his wife Sonia; his son Donald; his granddaughter Jenna; his parents, William and Alice; and his sisters, Eleanor and Esther.

He is survived by: his daughters, Karin, Paulette and Lynnette; his grandchildren, Leif, DeAnn and Tyler; and his great grandchild Nicolette.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Gardner family.
