She was predeceased by: her husband Carl Ferdinand Polzin; her sister Joanne Fursteneau; and her parents, Owen Johnson and Helga Johnson. She is survived by: her daughters, Carmen Joel (Tom) and Rebecca "Becky" Moen (Jeryl); and her sisters, Joyce Grove, Ruby Graff (George) and Sharon Brentrup. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, many extended family members and friends.
