He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Gjere and Clarice Gjere (Omodt); his father-in-law Duane Covey; his grandparents, Alvin, Hattie Gjere, Mabel and Oliver Omodt; his uncles, Harold Omodt, Walter Steele and Maynard; and his aunt Sandra Gjere.
He is survived by: his wife Sharrie Dianne Covey; his daughter Tina Alexis (David) of Dallas, TX; his grandchildren, Malik of Winona, MN and Tamia of Dallas, TX; and his brothers, Arden (Linda) of Decorah, IA, Dave (Pam) of La Crescent and Danny (Jody) of Spring Grove. He is also survived by his wife, his daughter, grandkids, his family and all of his friends.
