She was predeceased by: her parents, Reinhard Lane and Alvina Lane (Auna); her husband Jerry Melbostad; her siblings, Bernice Myhre, Evelyn Valdez, Lila Mahr, Leonard Lane and Ralph Lane; her siblings-in-law, Thelma O. Lane, Knut Myhre, Alvin Myhre, Arnold Paananen, Joe Valdez, Raymond Mahr and Gilman Tollefsrud; and her son-in-law John Spence.
She is survived by: her children, Duane Melbostad (Mary) of Winona, MN, Diane Otterness (Gary), Dean Melbostad (Betty), Debra Spence, Doris Sherburne (Kim), David Melbostad (Kathy), Daryl Melbostad (Cindy), Donna Karlsbroten (Brian) and Danny Melbostad (Taresa). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews.
