He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Wenzel and Martha Wenzel (Enzenauer); his wife Leila Lindekugel; his son David; and his siblings, Carol, Lorraine, Virgil and Galen.
He is survived by: his children, LaJean Wenzel of Camarillo, CA., Douglas Wenzel (Joan) of Alexandria, Lynnette Anderson (Brian) of San Marcos, TX., Robinette, Bobbi Hoard (Jeff) of Ft. Worth, TX. and Rhonda Petro (George) of Griffith, IN.; and his brother Ronald Wenzel (June) of St. Cloud. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Faith Lutheran Church or a favorite charity.
