She was predeceased by: her parents, Fletabell Dunn Townsend and John Townsend; her brother John Townsend Jr.; and her son-in-law Robert Young. She is survived by: her husband Clyde W. Sherman; and her children, Marcie Craven, Cherie Young, Lorrie Hiti (Chris), Rebekah Lonnes (Daniel) and Clyde Sherman (Louise). She is also survived by 13 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren.
