We bid farewell to Marlene (Schaefer) J. Gilbertson of South Saint Paul, Minnesota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 31, 2025 at the age of 73. Marlene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Marlene may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marlene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her husband Leslie "Cubby". She is survived by: her daughter Aleta; and her grandchildren, Austin, Gabby and Sydney. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.

A reception was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kandt-Tetrick Funeral Home (140 8th Ave N, South St Paul, MN 55075).
