He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Brinkman and Rosette Brinkman; his parents-in-law, Bob and Adeline Kretschmer; his sister Sheila Putnam (Sam); and his sister-in-law Donna Kretschmer.
He is survived by: his wife Peg; his children, Elizabeth Gunderson (Larry) and Paul Brinkman (Laura); his granddaughters, Clare, Anna Gunderson, Rachel, Rebekah and Sarah Brinkman; his brother Robert Brinkman (Marlene); and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Merino (George), Emily Kretschmer and Tom Kretschmer (Sue). He is also survived by uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Augustana Lutheran Church or donor's choice.
