He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leroy Petersen and Betty Petersen (Cortez) of Solway, MN.; his former wife Lori Forbragd; his wife Cheryl Petersen of Solway; his brother Randy Petersen (Lisa) of Solway; his children, Megan Risland of Mora, Darrin Petersen (Kaci) of Bemidji and Nathan Petersen (Heather Lawson) of Solway; his grandchildren, Sierra, Sydney, Savanna and Mason; his nieces and nephews, Chad Petersen (Heather), Dallas Petersen (Kristin), Dalton Petersen (Rachel), Amber Vold (Josh), Pinewood, Brent Petersen (Brandi), Guthrie, Monica Larson (TJ), Georgia, Nicole Bolter (Jeremy), Little Fork, Elizabeth Olson, Colt and Willow Petersen; his brothers, Steven Petersen and Scott Petersen; his grandparents, Beulah, George "Rudy" Lommen, Ingeborg "Emma" and Leonard Petersen; and his great-uncle Ralph Haugen. He was also cherished by 18 great nieces and nephews.
