It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Anthony Schroepfer of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, who passed away on July 11, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Schroepfer and Brigitta Schroepfer (Soukup); his sisters, LaDonna Mae Mathiowetz and Barbara Jensen; his parents-in-law, Darwin Gehrke and Bernice Gehrke; and his brothers-in-law, Alphonse Mathiowetz, Melvin Braun and David Jensen.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Schroepfer (Gehrke); his children, Brian Schroepfer, Dale Schroepfer (Jackie), Kelly Schewe (Casey), Becky Wilfahrt (Dave), David Schroepfer (Nichole) and Emily Buck (Lance); his grandchildren, Liviya, Hayes Schroepfer, Heather Schauman (Phil), Melissa Alt (Stephan), Josh Kuebler, Colten Schewe, Cheyenne Krzmarzick (Kyle), Chase Kraus (Brach), David Jr., Jevan, Shay Wilfahrt, Raylan, Reese Schroepfer, Caleb, Jaxson and Grace Buck; and his siblings, Theresia Kretsch (Ernie), Sylvia Braun, Richard Schroepfer (Lindy), Kathleen Marcus (Rick) and Anthony Schroepfer (Shirley). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
He also supported the Tunnels to Towers Foundation. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tunnels to Towers, or Leavenworth Baseball Association.
