He was predeceased by: his parents, William Richter and Clara Richter (Majeski); and his siblings, Margaret Schneider (Hubert), Helen Schulte (Martin), William Richter (Dory), Barbara Baumann (Richard), Aggie Davidson, Charles Richter, Bill O'Connor and Jim Schaeffer (Don Neubauer).
He is survived by: his sisters, Patricia O'Connor of Sioux Falls, SD, Germaine Schaeffer of St. Paul, MN and Kathleen Neubauer of Hastings, NE; and his siblings-in-law, Kay Richter of Champion, MN and Jack Davidson of Clive, IA. He is also survived by forty-six nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church-Sleepy Eye (636 1st Ave N, Sleepy Eye, MN 56085). Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A prayer was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Divine Providence Community Home or St. Benedict Monastery Shrine in Sivagangai, India.
