With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Joseph Wendinger of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, born in New Ulm, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 4, 2024 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Wendinger and Rose Wendinger (Rubischko); his grandson Jamie Krzmarzick; his stepgreat-grandson Jackson Wotschke; and his son-in-law Bob Thibedeau.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Wendinger of Sleepy Eye; and his children, Jerry Wendinger (Lori) of New Ulm, Tammie Thibedeau of Brownsville, OR, Lee Wendinger (Susan Cation) of Becker, Julie Krzmarzick (Eugene) of Sleepy Eye, Robin Havemeier (Danny) of Sleepy Eye, Jody Anderson (Greg) of Springfield, Gordy Wendinger (Amy) of Slayton, Lance Wendinger (Tonya) of Sleepy Eye, Anita Weir (Brian) of Fairfax and Sara Wendinger (Paula Marty) of New Ulm. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren with more to come; six step-great-grandchildren with more to come; many nieces and nephews; and other loving relatives and friends.
