He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Hoffmann and Marcella Hoffmann (Kral); his siblings, Gloria, Victor, Sr., Gertrude, Tom, Margaret and Ann; his parents-in-law, Louis and Nora Bastian; his siblings-in-law, Mary Jane, Elaine Hoffmann, Frank Bode and Bernard Bastian; and his niece Maria Lux.
He is survived by: his wife Bernadette Hoffmann (Bastian) of Sleepy Eye; his children, Barb Miller (Jeff), Mary Gangelhoff (Greg), Steve Hoffmann (Nancy) and David Hoffmann (Linda); his grandchildren, Amy Simon (Lee), Mark Miller (Katie), Brett Miller (Desirae), Brian Gangelhoff (Bethany), Matthew Gangelhoff (Laura), Maria Halverson (Matt), Heidi Greene (Caleb), Jon Hoffmann (Mary), Julia, Hannah and Andrew Hoffmann; his siblings, Theresa Hoffmann, Joan Hoffmann, Catherine Jarmer (Jim), Marcy Bode and Marty Hoffmann; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Hoffmann, Willard Bastian (JoAnn), Jerome Bastian (Myra) and Marilyn Bastian. He is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Mary's Catholic School and St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye.
