It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Alfred Nazarenus of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, who passed away on March 6, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Nazarenus and Rose Nazarenus (Marquardt); his wife Dorothy; his daughters, Rosanne Nazarenus and Janet Nazarenus; his brothers, Daryl and Orlando; his grandson John Meyer; and his great grandchild Quintin Rose.
He is survived by: his children, Sheila Thydean (Ted) of International Falls, Candy Sobocinski (Paul) of Wabasso, Sue Meyer (Al Merkel) of Sleepy Eye, Kris Nelson (Gene) of Sleepy Eye, Brent Nazarenus (Diane) of Sleepy Eye and Erik Nazarenus (Rita) of Spicer; and his sister Gretchen Brethorst. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.
