He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schoon and Eleanor Schoon (Bitterman Thomsen); his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Tillie Herman; his granddaughter Natalie Anne Krohn; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Lou Kostel, Char Herman, Rosalie Soukup, Clarence Walloch and Ed Eichler.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Herman of Slayton; his granddaughter Jennifer; his children, Brian Schoon (Sue) and Jennifer Krohn (Jason) of Slayton, MN; his grandchildren, Samantha Sampson (Keeran) of Worthington, MN and Aaron Krohn (Katie) of Worthington, MN.; his great grandchildren, Bella, Roewan, Piper and Baby Boy Krohn; his siblings, Marvelyn Brink (Rob) of Sioux Falls, SD and Jack Schoon (Lynette); and his siblings-in-law, Roger Kostel of Yankton, SD, Eugene Soukup of Wagner, SD, Larry Herman (Kay) of Duluth, MN, Mildred Walloch of Tabor, SD and Tillie Loecker (Mel) of Crofton, NE.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Hospice of Murray County or Hearts and Hands of Murray County.
