With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry Gene Byers of Slayton, Minnesota, born in Tyler, Minnesota, who passed away on March 9, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Byers and Florence Swan Byers; his wife Gail; his brother Doug; his siblings-in-law, Sylvia Byers and Gary Onken; and his niece Lisa Belloni.
He is survived by: his children, John (Jaynee Byers), Sarah (Eric Dahlgren) and Brian Byers of Slayton, MN; his grandchildren, Adam (Marcie Byers), Megan (John Felker), Erica (Kellen Bernhardt), James (Jessica Dahlgren), Angela Dahlgren and Vanessa Dahlgren; his great grandchildren, Ava, Alexis, Jackson Byers, Beckett, Madelynn, Garrett Felker, Beckham, Ruby, Johnny Bernhardt and Soren Dahlgren; his sister Carole Schmitz (Marion) of Eugene, OR; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Voorhees (Ritchie) of Appleton, MN, Karen Onken of Slayton, MN and Dorothy Byers of Slayton, MN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Memorials are preferred to the Hadley Buttermakers Baseball Team, Hadley Lions, Hospice of Murray County, or the Lake Wilson American Legion.
