He was predeceased by: his parents, Engelke "Bill" Engelkes and Violet Boots Engelkes; his parents-in-law, Clarence and Evelyn Lucker; and his siblings-in-law, Harold Sandhurst, Darwin Vosberg, James Daniels, Betty Engelkes and Mary Dierks.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Engelkes of Slayton, MN; his children, Travis (Renae Engelkes) and Kari (Nolan Hybbert); his grandchildren, Erin, Morgan Engelkes, Alex and Leah Hybbert; his siblings, Fannie Sandhurst, Andy (Marlys Engelkes), Mary Daniels, Ernest Engelkes, Viola (Marvin Storm), Alice Vosberg, Dick (Carol Engelkes) and Carol (Gary Knapp); and his brothers-in-law, Garry Dierks and Brian Lucker (Jan). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Avera Morningside Heights in Marshall, MN or to The Prairie Heart Guest House in Sioux Falls, SD.
