He was predeceased by: his parents, John Konkol and Elsie Konkol (Westphal); his wife Margaret; his son Russell; his daughter-in-law Erin; his siblings, Donald, Kenneth and LaVerne Conners; and his siblings-in-law, Bertrand Anderson, Edward Conners and Jean Konkol.

He is survived by: his children, Deanna, Howard (Kim), Tom (Jackie), Mary (Wane), Joe and Rick (Kate); and his sister Lorraine Anderson. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 great step-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the St. Ann's Cemetery Fund or to the MCC Scholarship.
