He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Holbrook and Evelyn Holbrook (McKague); and his siblings, James, Eleanor Bogue and Shirley Erickson.
He is survived by: his former wife Ida Brockton; his children, Karen Vance (Russell) of Finland, MN, James Sr. Holbrook (Tanya) of Rockport, TX and Debra Homan (Gene) of Newton, NC; his grandchildren, Samantha Norman (Michael), Nicholas Vance, James Holbrook Jr., Laura Holbrook (Steve Koopsma), Cas Holbrook, Collin Holbrook and Noah Homan; his great grandchildren, Kaden, Kaia Norman, Markus and Maisie Koopsma; and his close friend Christine Juelich of Silver Bay, MN.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
