He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Jay Gustafson (Andrea) and Kristi Thompson (Tyler); his grandchildren, Derek, Danika, Dain, Skylar and Andrew; and his siblings, Terri Benedict (Marvin), Cathy Hanson and Joe. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
