He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his sons, Matthew (Kari), Benjamin (Julia) and Jonathan (Lora); his grandchildren, Holden, Addison and Greyson; his sister April Barnes (Craig); and his niece Rebecca Barnes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested for endowment fund at Incarnation which helps future Christians support their ministries.
