He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Jorgenson and Grace Jorgenson (Scribner); his children, Rene Jorgenson, Jerry Jorgenson and Jean Murray (Duane); his wife Joyce Swanson (Riegel); his sister-in-law Joan Riegel of Chicago, IL; his son-in-law Chet Starkey; his grandson Todd Murray; and his siblings, Hildred Nelson, Homer, Bernard and Jack Jorgenson.

He is survived by: his former spouse Marion Armstrong; his children, Nancy Starkey (Chet) of Crescent City, CA and Donald Jorgenson (Denise); his children-in-law, Duane Murray of Chicago, IL and Denise Jorgenson of Granada, MN; and his cousins, Vina Marquart (Karl) and Petra Marquart of Minnetonka, MN. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren.

In accordance with the Governor's mandate, the use of face masks and adhering to social distancing is required during the visitation and memorial service.
