He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolf Schentzel and Evelyn Schentzel (Schrupp); his wife Elaine Krueger; his son Kevin; his brother Darwin; and his siblings-in-law, Fred Tolhurst and Myrna.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth, Kurt Schentzel (Stephanie) of Northville, Ken Schentzel (Malissa) of Farmington and Kristin Schentzel of Emmetsburg, Iowa; his grandchildren, Logan (Isabel Blume), Caleb, Zoey, Hannah, MaKenna and Brayden; and his siblings, Delores Tolhurst of Balaton, Minnesota, Dennis Schentzel (Jean) of Sioux Falls and Darrel Schentzel (Linda) of Blaine.
