He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Bjerke and Magda Bjerke; his wife Arlene Foss; and his siblings, Herman, Richard, Marcella and Arlene.
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Omar; his children, Howard of Kentucky, David of Fargo, Randy (Amy) of San Antonio, Danny (Sheila) of Dilworth, Jeanie Rude (Mark) of Shelly, Jody Lee (Bruce) of Halstad, Dona Nepstad (Marvin) of Ada, Tami Mooney (Pat) of Hillsboro and Scott Stene (Tammy) of Ada; and his siblings, Marion Brasel, Corrine Knudson and Bobby Bjerke (Sharon). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
