He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hans Gilbertson and Ida Gilbertson (Redland) of Shelly, Minnesota.; his wife Myrtle Viola Haug; his children, Scott, Lori Strand (Ed) of Fergus Falls, MN, Todd Gilbertson (Beth) and Lance Gilbertson (Carla) of Shelly, MN; his grandchildren, Joshua Gilbertson (Theresa) of Shelly, Diana Carlsrud (Lee) of Fargo, ND, Stephanie Thompson (Rob), Erin Strand Penn (Julien) of Maplewood, MN, Jarrod Gilbertson of Halstad and Mara Gilbertson (Kyle) of Fargo, ND; and his sister Gloria Hunt of Arizona. He was also cherished by many great-grandchildren.
