He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Welsh and Eleanor Welsh (Atzersdorfer); his wife Irene Schimek; his daughter Maria; and his siblings, Arthur and Mary Ellen Leaper.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Samberg (Mike), Robert and Marc (Katie); his grandchildren, Dylan Samberg (Destiny), Amber, Ashley Welsh and Zoey Welsh; his great grandchild Scarlett; and his brothers, Jack (Mary Jo) and Dennis (Nancy).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Church of St. Mark (350 Atwood St S, Shakopee, MN 55379). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Catholic Cemetery (830 10th Ave W, Shakopee, MN 55379).
