He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen DeMers and Julia DeMers (Cermak); his wife Mary Clay of Mary's Church; and his grandchildren, Brandon, Janna and Crystal.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Jr., Cathy Cole, Chuck (Gayle), Daniel (Roxanna), Barbara Johnson (Harold), Susan Kotchevar (Kevin), Laurie Grassel (Vern), Patrick (Becky) and Theresa Poppler (Steven). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Mary (535 Lewis St S, Shakopee, MN 55379). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
