He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Sr. Plekkenpol and Selma Plekkenpol (Meyer); his wife Ilene Plekkenpol (Gruetzmacher); his siblings, Florence Luerers (Willie), Margaret Wolf (Alvin), George (Marion), Edward (Lorna), Carl Jr. (Harriet) and Donald Plekkenpol (Jean); and his siblings-in-law, Myron Gruetzmacher and Viola Plekkenpol.
He is survived by: his children, Lee Plekkenpol (Penny) and Lynn Schwartz (Patrick) of Chaska, MN; his grandchildren, Amy Watson (Douglas), Kenton Plekkenpol (Kaitlin) and Sarah Wermerskichen (Seth); his great grandchildren, Brody, Brockton, Evelyn, Elliana Watson, Adley, Aubree Plekkenpol, Stanley and Stetson Wermerskirchen; his brothers, Clifford and Dallas Plekkenpol (Marian); and his sister-in-law Betty Gruetzmacher.
