It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Nikunen (Shakopee, Minnesota), born in Hancock, Michigan, who passed away on August 4, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. John Junttila and Julia Junttila (Walikainen); and her siblings, John Junttila and Phyllis Nikunen. She is survived by: her husband David Nikunen; her children, Tim Nikunen (Dee), Tom Nikunen and Heidi Hammerback (Justin); her grandchildren, Paige Nielson, Reagan, Henry Hammerback, Phillip and Jack Nikunen; and her siblings-in-law, Sue Wiles, John Feldman, Bruce Nikunen (Marsha), Rev. Jerome Nikunen and Kris Kloempken (Glen). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
