He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Sexton and Eileen Sexton (Nelson); his in-laws, Leonard and Alice Farrell; his siblings, Shirley Quast (Sexton), Sue Born (Sexton) and Russell Sexton; and his brothers-in-law, Boyce Harrell, Ken Farrell and Bob Farrell.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Farrell; his children, Valerie Edberg (Joe) of Shakopee and Christopher Sexton (Amy) of Rockville; his grandchildren, Jack Edberg (Sydney Haglund), Hannah Edberg, Dylan Sexton (Abby Timp) and Lauren Sexton; his siblings, Sharon Harrell of Chaska and Tom Sexton (Mary) of Cologne; and his siblings-in-law, Charlotte Farrell of Waconia, Marge Farrell of Glencoe and Steve Born of Chaska. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
