He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Petersen and Adeline Petersen (Priebe); his sister Marjorie Rentmeester; and his brothers-in-law, Glen Miller and Ken Rentmeester.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Petersen; his children, Kathy Christian (Joe), Ron (Tebra) and Tom Petersen; his grandsons, Ben Christian (Raina), Josh Christian (Eryn) and Jeremy Ramler (Sophie); his stepgranddaughters, Jessica Bryant and Melissa Lackey (Russell); his great grandchild Elizabeth Christian; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Emmanuel Gentsch, Madyson Bryant, Sebastian and Irie Lahr; and his sister Phyllis Miller. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church (26985 Co Rd 23, Sebeka, MN 56477). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM and at 1:00 PM. A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 12:45 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery (26985 Co Rd 23, Sebeka, MN 56477).
