She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton "Tony" Bartl and Marcella "Sally" Bartl (Simmet); and her sister Rosemary Werner (Otto). She is survived by: her husband John Houghton of Sauk Rapids; and her sister Ruth Mowan of New Ulm. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children's Hospital and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
