He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Schlichting and Mary Schlichting (Smieja); his wife Marlys Popp; his children, Dave and Mary Lentner; his son-in-law Neal Weis; and his siblings, Roger, Rita Fasen and Irene Burggraff.
He is survived by: his children, Jim (Patty) of Royalton, Judy Weis of St. Cloud, Jane Haats (Dan) of New London, Dan (Corina) of Rice, John (Sara) of Loveland, CO and Anne (Nate Nordvik) of Maple Grove; his son-in-law Tom Lentner of Gilman; and his sister Marlys Wells of Washburn, WI. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
