It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorraine N. Mendel in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, who passed away on July 8, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Volkers and Ruth Volkers (Heintze); her husband Merril Mendel; and her brother Eddie. She is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie Meemken (Tim) of Sauk Rapids, Laurie Henkemeyer (Chuck) of Sauk Rapids and Sandy Meelberg (Mark) of Blaine; her siblings, Arlene Rosa of Brooklyn Park, Jim Volkers (Sharon) of Avon and Edna Grabuski of Sauk Rapids; her sister-in-law Carol Volkers of Sauk Rapids; her grandchildren, Amanda (Rick), Katie (Grant), Sarah, Leah (Grant), Nicholas, Jacob (Annie) and Jayme (Mitchell); and her great grandchildren, Noah and Maria. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
