He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugo A. Weyrens and Alma Weyrens (Storkamp); his brother Jerry; and his grandson Steven Schulte. He is survived by: his wife Rita Prom of Mary's Cathedral; and his children, Ron, Susan Johnson (Mark), Victoria, Nancy Schulte (Jon) of Sioux Falls, SD, Judy and David Bloomington (Cynthia).

In Lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Cathedral High School.
