He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Thompson and Mary Thompson (Parent); his wife Mary Kay; his son-in-law Daryl Harmdierks; and his brothers, Herb and Jerry Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Kay Johnson (Jeff) of Breezy Point, Kim Christianson (Keith) of Bemidji, Todd Thompson of Monticello and Nikki Klehr (Jamie) of Richmond; his brothers, Ray Thompson (Shirley) of Rice and Mark Thompson (Judy) of St. Cloud; and his grandchildren, Kirstie, Joshua, Zachary, Allison, Logan, Brooke, Braden, Jesse, Abby and Brady. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
