She was predeceased by: her parents, John Weisensel and Isabel Weisensel (Jutz); her husband Rudy Vait; her sons, Glenn Vait and Martin Vait; her children-in-law, Eileen Vait, Betty Vait, Donna Vait and Robert Rooney, Jr.; her grandsons, Christopher Rooney and Adrian Vait; her great great grandchild Niklaus Michael Odom; her stepgranddaughter Rochelle Lehner; her siblings, LeRoy Weisensel, Kenneth Weisensel (Mary Lou), Jerome Weisensel, James Weisensel (Clarice), Elaine Neid and Audrey Hofmeister (Ralph); and her brother-in-law Joe Neid.
She is survived by: her children, Delores Rodriguez (Ramiro "Nino") of Laredo, Darlene Rooney of Sauk Centre, Myron Vait (Mary) of Clearwater, Howard Vait of Stanley, Alfred "Al" Vait of Jupiter, Joanne Vait of Brenham, Lester Vait (Susan) of Springfield, Norbert Vait (Ruth) of Brooten, Randy Vait (Lisa) of Clearwater, Donald Vait (Terry) of Clearwater, Gordon Vait (Lori) of Atlanta, Georgia and Gregg Vait (Anna) of Pierz; her daughter-in-law Sandra Vait of Sauk Centre; her sister Beverly Sellner (George) of Comfrey; and her sisters-in-law, Madonna Ebnet (Albert) of Springfield and Joyce Neid of Sleepy Eye. She is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren.
