With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laverne Messer (Sauk Centre, Minnesota), born in Long Prairie, Minnesota, who passed away on February 21, 2018 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henrietta Bruder (Claseman) and Michael Bruder; her daughter Jeanette; and her sister Lila Freidrichs. She is survived by: her husband David; her children, Carol Norris (Steve) of Sauk Centre, Mary Bertrand (Bob) of Sauk Centre, Barb Jarmuzek (Jesse) of Rice, Donna Messer of St. Stephens, MN, Susan Schleppenbach of Albany and Mike Messer (Carolyn) of Sauk Centre; her grandchildren, Adam, Sara, Tina, Vanessa, Jordan, Josh, Chris, Jessy, Cody, Kayla, Evan and Owen; her great grandchildren, Kaylee, Serenity, Nicholas "Bubba" and Beattie; and her siblings, Jerome Bruder, Laurel Bruder (Kathy) and Elaine Holmquist (Gene). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
