He was predeceased by: his siblings, Tony Klaphake, Edward Klaphake, Leona Boeckermann and Lorraine Marthaler. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Klaphake of Sauk Centre; his children, William Klaphake of Sauk Centre, Patrick Klaphake of Sauk Centre, Sue Klaphake of Meire Grove, Tom Klaphake (Rachel) of Greenwald and Jon Klaphake of Sauk Centre; his granddaughter Hannah Klaphake; and his sisters, Margaret Breitbach of Elrosa and Valeria Kral (Steve) of Osakis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Knute Nelson Hospice.
