With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herbert Mies of Sauk Centre, Minnesota, born in Litchfield, Minnesota, who passed away on May 29, 2021 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephan Mies and Elenor Mies (Arens); his brothers, Francis Mies, Harold, Ivan and Cecil Mies; his siblings-in-law, Pete Olson, Robert Fank and Donna Mies; and his nephew Robert "Bobby" Fank.
He is survived by: his wife Clara Mies of Sauk Centre; his daughters, Marie Labat (Todd) of Hibbing, Karin Jacobson (Lou) of St. Cloud and Heidi Kelly (Matthew) of Dassel; his sister Mary Olson; and his parents-in-law, Mary Mies, Nicholas Fank (Norma), Harry Fank Jr. (Ardi), Virginia Moliter (Charles), Joseph Fank (Jan), Michael Fank (Debbie), Mark Fank (Jacquie) and Mary Wetzel (Loren). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
