He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Klaphake and Anna Klaphake (Middendorf); his wife Marlene Klaphake; and his siblings, Tony Klaphake, Leona Boeckermann and Lorraine Marthaler.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Klaphake of Sauk Centre, JoAnn Kohorst (Bob) of Sauk Centre, Mary Borgerding (Brian) of Sauk Centre, Sharon Hanson (Rod) of Sauk Centre, Jim Klaphake (Carol) of Sauk Centre, Ron Klaphake (Amy) of Sauk Centre, Mark Klaphake (Jennifer) of Sauk Centre, Linda Gamradt (Chad) of Sauk Centre, Dan Klaphake (Jenn) of Sauk Centre, Paul Klaphake (Traci) of Sauk Centre and Jason Klaphake (Tiffany) of Sauk Centre; his siblings, Herman Klaphake (Kathy), Margaret Breitbach and Val Kral (Steve); and also, Charles, Jim, Ron, Mark, Dan, Paul and Jason. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Holy Family School in Sauk Centre.
