He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Traut and Susan Traut (Weyer); his wife Verda Kruchten; and his parents-in-law, Marian Theisen (Urban), Victor, Marvin (Marcy), Melvin, Valeria Jefferson (Jerome), Ken Smoley, Don Piasecki and Aggie Traut.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Weyer (Roger) of Sartell, Sue Lahr (Mike) of St. Joseph, Kathy Wilson (Dan Sufka) of Sartell, Marge Blommel (Larry Sampson) of Sartell, Dan Traut (Colette) of Sartell, Betty Thole (Ken) of Lino Lakes and Chris Zwiener of Sartell; his siblings, Marcella Piasecki, Doreen Smoley, Larry "Happy" Traut and LeRoy Traut (Linda); and his sisters-in-law, Lorraine Traut and Mary Jane MacDonald. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren.
